Our Story
At Heartwood Care Collective, we believe that healing requires the courage to reimagine care itself. Like the heartwood at the center of a tree, we draw strength from a deep core: a commitment to dignity, integrity, and the radical potential of human connection. We take our cues from the natural world emphasizing reciprocity, generative growth, and the beauty found in complexity.
We are a network of seekers and healers a space where those seeking change are invited to grow in relationship with one another, and where new shapes of care are encouraged to form through those connections. At Heartwood, clinicians and clients connect in the ecosystem of spaciousness, nourishment, and safety, held together by consent as its keystone. We believe change is wisdom, and we meet every person we serve in that spirit.
Our values and foundational principles guide everything we do. We are committed to decolonizing therapy and dismantling the outdated frameworks that have too long defined mental healthcare. Through social justice, anti-oppressive practices, and intersectional approaches, we honor the full complexity of each person’s experience. We embrace multiple ways of knowing, think beyond binary frameworks, and cultivate wisdom as a living, evolving practice.
Heartwood Care Collective offers a full range of programs designed to support both clients and the clinicians who serve them. Our supervision and consultation offerings include individual supervision, supervision groups (available virtually and in person), and lunchtime supervision consultation groups, lovingly referred to as Soup of Sup. We also provide clinical trainings, supervision training, and pathways toward Approved Clinical Supervisor certification endorsement, all with a focus of helping therapists build sustainable, well-compensated practices. Our therapy groups create space for healing to unfold in community and individual mental health services are focused on matching clients to therapists that can provide the most generative healing relationship environment for a client’s individual needs.
